You can, if there's no other definitive diagnosis. So you wouldn't report wheezing and SOB along with a definitive diagnosis of asthma for example. Otherwise, they're two separate symptoms, so they can be coded together.

And one more clarification, If asthma is there for a patient. Physician mentioned patient has asthma and wheezing. As per guideline, can we code for both or only asthma?
Wheezing is excluded from asthma as per guideline. Suggest me.:confused:
