If I have the icd 10 - cm course and complete it, do I need to take the icd 10 exam? I get two different answers when I call the aapc office.

If you complete AAPC's training with 100% on each chapter, you are not required to take the exam. I believe you get unlimited attempts on each chapter, so earning the 100% shouldn't be an issue. If you are enrolled in any other training, i.e., AHIMA's course, this does not count and you will need to take the exam.
