Can someone tell me what icd9 you would suggest for pre cancer polyp in the colon?

pre cancer colon polyp

I was told that all colon polyps were considered pre-cancerous.

According to icd-9 under polyp colon you are advised to see also polyp, adenomatous. under adenomatous it advises see also Neoplasm, by site, benign.

From my research any benign polyp could turn malignant. I believe the icd-9 code shown under Polyp/colon would be the correct one.
