Would anyone know the ICD9 code when the OB writes on the RX "Check for fetal weight." We are doing a Transvag OB. Any input would be helpful.
Thank you so much,

Fetal weight

I would use V22.0 or V22.1 unless there is a clinical reason questioning the fetal weight.
As for V28.81, according to ACOG (Amer. College of OBGYN): an OB refers the pt to a specialist because of a previous hx of a fetus w/ some type of anomaly. The condition is not suspected in this current pregnancy, but is an indication to perform a complet and detailed anatomic eval. This code should also be supported by other codes indicating the particular risk of fetal anomalies.
Refer to www.acog.org website for Coding article.
