I have been getting a lot of diagnoses in vascular as immobility. No other diagnosis given. For example, 93970, venous duplex, bilateral. The impression is "no evidence of DVT in either lower extremity". The reason for the vascular is "high risk due to immobility". The only code I can find that somewhat fits is 780.72, functional quadriplegia. The definition says "inability to move due to another condition such as dementia, severe contractures, or arthritis, not a physiologic one, no mental ability to move independently, typically found in severely demented patients. I could really use some help on this one, as I am uncomfortable with the 780.72 code. :(
