I just finished with a teleconference on vaccination administration changes for 2011. In this teleconference we were told that If a patient was given 2 different combination vaccines and only one of the combination vaccines were counselled on, the correct coding should be the first combination vaccine followed by 90460 with 90461 + the # of combinations. The second code should be the second combination code followed by 90472 (which is an add on code). I always thought you could only code a 90472 with a 90471 or 90473. could someone please explain this to me.
