I work for a hospitalist group. We currently see patients in SNF and are branching out to wound care (which I am not all that familar with). I am looking for information as to how to code these visits. Specifically, is there a CPT code for a wound care consult, or would this be billed as a SNF (99307 - 99310), with the wound care aspect being reflected in the dx coding? Or would i use an active wound care cpt like 97597? I'm pretty lost as to where to begin, so any info / references to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
