I'm having a difficult time getting a New York physician on United Healthcare. Although she is in-network at the university where she is on voluntary faculty, United is refusing to make her in-network at her new New York private practice. They state the panel is closed. Any suggestions on how to appeal this? Emails and phone calls have yielded nothing. Thank you.

NY isn't an "any willing provider" state so they have every right to deny a contract. You don't have any recourse unless you can somehow prove network inadequacy.
