So, one of our providers has Covid. He is IN the building, isolated in his office. His PA is taking a tablet with her from room to room to see and evaluate patients for him.

Anyone have any idea how we would bill this? Is it technically telehealth since he's in the office, but not in the room and using A/V?

Just looking for opinions.
Thanks!!

Well, she's in the room, holding the ipad and particpating, but the Doctor is doing a "telehealth" visit via the ipad she is taking in the room with her. Does that make sense? So, she's not the only one evaluating the patient. The doctor is doing the visit from another room to keep himself isolated.

I read something about in hospital visits but in a different part of the hospital by video - I believe it is billed as if it was a normal visit. I don't have an exact reference - but I agree with Sharon, billed as usual.
