This is regarding Immunotherapy shots given to Medicare patients, when the Dr. is not in the office, but the PA's are, can they be billed under the PA's number even though they are giving the shot, but the nursing staff does the shot?

I have thought you could but I can not find it in writing. I know there has to be direct supervison and the PA would be the direct supervison and they can bill under their own number. I would think this would be incident to the PA's services and billable. But again, I can't find it in writing. The links above are two links on CMS' website discussing PA's and NP's. Hope they help.
