My doctor performed a lap chole and at the patients request he also removed the appendix, what diagnosis code can I use for the incidental appendectomy since there was nothing wrong with the appendix.

it would have to fall under a V50 for elective procedure.

I have a hard time justifying charging for it since it was the patient's request. If there was nothing wrong with it on exam or by pathology you shouldn't bill for it. Just my opinion.
