When my docs debride surgical incisions post-op, they tend to code the wound as "ulcer", even though they never call it an "ulcer" in the note. Just "wound". I'm curious how others are coding these. I tend to think 892.0 for open wound would be more accurate? Is there a better one that I'm not seeing?
