It Depends!

As with all coding....it depends!
If the information says "Incomplete Bladder Emptying" I use R33.9 (see index Incomplete, Bladder, emptying R33.9)-Retention of urine, unspecified.
If the documentation says "Feeling of Incomplete Bladder Emptying" then I use R39.14-Feeling of incomplete bladder emptying.
 
I have this same question? I wasn't sure what the difference was between R39.11- hesitancy of micturition and R33.8 Other retention?
