If a brings a radiology CD with them to a visit, and the physician independently visualizes the image, and ALSO reviews the radiologists report, can they take credit for independent visualization AND review of test in the Radiology Section (3 points total)?
 
Yes they can, this is called the Orthopedic 3-point play. The only time the provider cannot take credit for visualizing the image is when they are billing for the pro-fee portion of a radiology code.
