Good morning!

If our doc repeats a sonohysterogram or hysterosalpingogram after surgery to check, for instance: if a uterine septum is resolved, how would my colleagues think this should be coded? Adding a modifier to the procedure or submitting it again as the 58340 without the modifier?

Thanks colleagues!!!

Ok, so if this was done after the post operative period of the original procedure, then I think you would just code the diagnostic procedure. I wouldn't think that it would need a modifier.

you wouldn't be able to use the 58 modifier because its outside of the post operative period. I would just bill the procedure code without any modifier.
