I primarily bill for OBGYN - but I have one provider that I bill for who specializes in infertility. I do not know much about billing for infertility so I am looking for someone I could possibly learn a little from. I am having a lot of issues when it comes to billing ultrasounds. He notates that he is using a "Power Doppler" and is trying to bill CPT 93976. Is this a CPT commonly used for infertility? Based off of the reasearch I have done - this code doesnt seem correct. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!
 
This code can be used to evaluate the uterine artery.

Lay Description (Code):
The physician or assistant performs a Duplex ultrasound scan, which is a combination of real-time and Doppler studies, of the arteries and veins in the abdominal, pelvic, or genitorectal areas to evaluate vascular blood flow in relation to blockage. This code applies to a limited evaluation.
