Hello,
I have a Lt needle localization and excision lumpectomy with 5 Re-excisions of the old sutured margins
Dr. is wanting to charge for the Re-excision of an anterolateral margin, inferoposterior margin, medial superior margin,
and 2 other anterolateral margins.
Patient had undergone wire localization of breast morning of surgery,
Dr. made an incision at the 8:30 position all the way down to the pectoralis muscle.. the main tumor was excised and a clip was placed.
Dr. then re-excised additional margins which were
1). anterolateral,2). inferoposterior 3). medial superior and then re-excised an additional anterolateral and another anterolateral margin
Are this margins able to be billed ?
