A patient was bitten by a dog he has superficial lacerations to his wrist and forearm. He has an onset of pain and swelling and erythema. He was seen initially by his PCP who administered IV unasyn. He is told to return to Ed in 6 hours for another dose and continue this process for the next 24 hours. He returns to Ed, no IV in place. Pain is controlled. Ed does an exam, provides antibiotic. Heplock left in place. Final dx infected dog bite right arm.

would you coded for the ED visit only? or should the infusion be coded as well? If so, what code would you use?
