Initial vs. Subsequent Inpatient Care

Our urologist saw a Medicare patient for IP hospital care and we billed an initial visit (99223). The patient was discharged and comes back a month later to be seen again as IP. The doctor is asked to see this patient again. Would we bill another initial visit for this stay or does this now need to be a subsequent visit? Not sure if it goes by admissions or not. Can someone please clarify?
