Good morning everyone, I hope someone can help me on this question.. Has anything changed on the hierarchy when it comes to infusions/ivp's/im's and hydration? We use 3M coding software, I had an IM injection and Hydration I used 96372 and 96361 but when I went thru the 3M it gave me an edit saying I was missing the base code for the hydration now everything that I could find said hierarchy was infusion, ivp, im then hydration is that not true? thanks alice, hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving..

you would use 96372 and 96360. IV and injections are separate.. you have to have one initial iv start whether its 96365,96374 or 96360. in this case its the hydration so you would use the 96360 but when entering them by hierarchy you would put 96372 first then 96360. hope this helps.
