I was wondering if someone could help me with the correct CPT code to use for an injection in the right hand for treatment of trigger finger. The note says, "a 22 gauge needle was inserted into the right hand joint via a anterior approach". I'm not sure whether to use 20550 or 20551. It was in the right hand, not trigger points so 20552 and 20553 would not be used if my understanding is right. TIA!
