May we bill injections and infusions postoperative that are not integral to the procedure?

Example: Patient has IV Toradol and Morphine, for pain management, after the patient left PAR but before being discharged from the hospital.

I would seem to think you can. Now, if they were used "during" the procedure I would say not, but afterwards I would say for sure yes.

Use modifier 79 Unrelated procedure or service by the same physician during the post-operative period. Although minor, injections and infusions are procedures.
