I just wanted to get clarification. When a diagnosis is listed on the discharge summary as an uncertain diagnosis but it is not related to the principle diagnosis can this still be coded? Can all probable diagnosis even if not related to the principle diagnosis be coded that are listed on the discharge summary?

My example would be a patient was admitted for pneumonia, htn urgency which will be the primary and secondary dxs. However an additional diagnosis was lower extremity weakness concerning for myasthenia gravis versus other neurologic process. Can i also code the myasthenia gravis?

thank you
