if a physician sees a patient for a consultation at 11:00 am, and that same physician admits said patient to Rehab at 1:30 pm on the same day would you use initial visit plus prolonged services? Thank you for your advise on this matter.
 
Depends on documentation

That would depend on whether you had time documented and it was at least 30 minutes beyond the usual time for the initial visit code documented.

But, yes, that might be an appropriate way to code this.
