Wiki Inpatient hospital with outpatient office visit different specialty

We have a pt that is admitted to the hospital by internal med doctor. The following day they take the pt to the eye clinic for an evaluation. How would we bill for this? Will they pay for an outpatient visit while the pt is an inpatient admit? Is there a modifier we can use? Please help

Did the doctor see the patient at the hospital? or was the patient taken to the dr. visit?

Your POS for the outpatient visit is the inpatient hospital POS - 21.
Once a patient is admitted, they are inpatient for everything, regardless of where actually seen.
