Hi gang,
I was wondering how you can get into this field of coding? Any suggestions? I have been doing DME coding for the past 2 years while going to school to get my Associates. I have my Associates in Healthcare Admin specialized in Electronic Medical Records. I am now working towards my Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration specializing in Health Information Technology. I would like to work in a HIM department, but most want previous inpatient or acute coding experience. I'm lost. I only have my associates and a CPC certification. Where do I go from here?
