a patient is in the hospital as an inpatient status, her physician comes by to do rounds, what do I use an inpatient consultation code?
 
Is it the initial visit or is it a subsequent visit? Is the physician the admitting? Did an APN or NP also see the patient that day? And what is the patients insurance? If it's Medicare you can't use a consult code no matter what.
