I am on the payor end of the spectrum and I have inherited some inpatient claims-I noticed our software is asking for specific HCPCS or CPT codes on a UB whenever the revenue code is 0278 supplies/implants. However, none of the UB's that I have looked at so far have included any HCPCS or CPT codes in the 278 revenue code line. Is our software correct and is there actually specific HCPCS or CPT codes required with revenue code 0278? I am asking because we have identified a few issues with our new software and this may be one. I would appreciate any guidance and thank you!
