When an inpatient is brought (by ambulance to the Dr.s office) for a radiation oncology work-up.
Is the consultation for this visit coded as an office visit or as an inpatinet initial consultation?

the rules for POS went into effect April 1. when the patient is a registed inpatient regardless of where your encountertakes place you must use their inpatient POS as your POS on the claim so for your scenario it would be a POS 21 with an inpatient level.
