Can someone advise about coding insomnia as a symptom of depression..

I know we should not be coding symptoms but theres's a code for insomnia due to depression..what's your input?

I think unless the provider states the insomnia is due to the depression, it shouldn't be coded that way. However, I do wonder if insomnia should be coded with depression since it's a symptom of it. If the listed diagnoses are depression, anxiety, and insomnia, should only F32.A and F41.9 be coded?
