I purchased the three CPC exam packets from last year, 2014. They are now expired online, but I have saved them in my Word and trying to do them now. I am stuck on the following question. I am stuck between two answers: A and C. I would think both benign lesions and actinic keratoses should be coded, but the answer options allow for one or the other. Also, in my Exam Review book I remember reading that if destruction of lesions are done in multiple areas there should be more than one code. Confused:( Please Help!

A 36-year-old male presents to have multiple lesions destroyed. Three benign lesions on his face are destroyed and five actinic keratoses on his left arm are destroyed. Codes for the procedures are:
A. 17000, 17003

B. 17000, 17003 x 4, 17110

C. 17110

D. 17260 x 5, 17110 x 3

The answer is B. 17000, 17003x4 units is destruction of actinic keratosis.
17110 is destruction of benign lesions 1-14, and is only billed in 1 unit.
