Wiki International coding work

Does anyone know if the coding we have learned here in the US is used in international sites? I am looking at possibly moving overseas and wonder if there will be work available, particularly in Portugal, Scotland or Spain. I am a CPC with 3 years experience.

Unless you can get a job at a military base there isn't much opportunity for coding outside of the country.

other countries use codes much differently, they use ICD-10 instead of ICD-10 CM and they are converting to ICD-11. They have very different rules as well. They don't use CPT codes or HCPCS codes. You could possible apply with their health ministry or a data firm that collects health data but you will need to know their coding system.
