Question- In 2016- Code 46607/G6028 description appears to include the biopsy procedures though one of my providers wants to bill code 11101 for the biopsies in addition to code 46607/G6028. Code 11101 is an add on code and not subject to CCI edits. I have held that only 46607/G6028 should be billed as the description includes "biopsy, single or multiple."
Is this correct? Or should we also bill the 11101?
We recently purchased this equipment and have begun to perform these procedures and would like input as to which code(s) are most appropriate.

2016 description for CPT code 46607(G6028)- Anoscopy; with high-resolution magnification (HRA) (eg, colposcope, operating microscope) and chemical agent enhancement, with biopsy, single or multiple-
2016 description of CPT 11101-Biopsy of skin, subcutaneous tissue and/or mucous membrane (including simple closure), unless otherwise listed; each separate/additional lesion (List separately in addition to code for primary procedure)

Thank you for your feedback.
