Anyone know the code for intranasal flu vaccine for pediatric? The only code I can find is 90660 however it is not age specific. Thanks!

Age specific? This vaccine is approved for ages 2yrs and above with specific restrictions for children with a history of breathing problems. Some insurance carriers will not cover intranasal flu vaccine for anyone under 5 yrs old. Other than that, the only thing "age" specific would be the administration code which should be one of the following, depending on what else is done for the patient that day and the age of the patient: 90467, 90468, 90473, 90474.

This is the only code. Age does not seem to be a factor for reimbursement by the payors, but each contract agreement. Hope this helps- ( you may want to get a waiver signed )
Barbara is correct- it is approved for 2yr and older.
