what is the difference between ?Continuing pregnancy after intrauterine death of one fetus or more? and ?Continuing pregnancy after spontaneous abortion of one fetus or more??
 
Per ICD-9 guidelines, intrauterine death occurs after completion of 22 weeks of gestation. Spontaneous/Missed abortions occur prior to the completion of 22 weeks.
***With ICD-10, the gestation will change to 20 weeks.
