I work for an anesthesia billing company, but we code CPT. My question is can someone tell me how to code intubation that is not emergency. :confused:

Hello;
I have been coding and auditing for several years and this is a first for me. The code 31500 is for emergency procedure I have only know that if it is used then there must be an Emergency. As for the removal (extubate) it is included in the procedure. I hope this will help you.
