Job Type: Inpatient ICD10 Coder
> Pay: $28-33.65/hr, Based on experience
> Hours: First week 8-5 for class training, Remote after but consistent

> Accounts for coding and abstracting of patient encounters, including
> diagnostic and procedural information, significant reportable elements
> and complications. Researches and analyzes data needs for
> reimbursement. Analyzes medical record and identifies documentation
> deficiencies. Serves as resource by answering questions and providing
> leadership to health data analysts.

> Essential Functions:
> ? Thoroughly reviews all documentation in the medical
> records and assigns codes for all the diagnoses, treatments, and
> procedures according to the appropriate classification system for
> inpatient encounters.
> ? Able to accurately abstract information from the medical
> records into the EMR system
> ? Ensures complete disease and procedure reporting.
> ? Verifies documentation supports diagnoses, procedures,
> and treatment results.
> ? Identifies discrepancies, potential quality of care, and
> billing issues.
> ? Serves as coding consultant to care providers.
> ? Handles special projects as requested.
> ? Serves as resource by answering questions and providing
> leadership to health data analysts.

> Basic Qualifications:
> ? ICD-10 certification
> ? CPC or CCS certified
> ? Minimum of 1 year inpatient coding experience
> ? Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or
> Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
