How would you report a discontinued procedure in an IP Setting (UB-04). I know on the Physician side we would tack on Modifier 53, but modifiers are not used on IP patients. How would you report thise?

Would a 73 or 74 work for you in this case? How far did the physician get? Was anesthesia used?
 
I think you're talking about IP facility. The guidelines state to code to the extent the service was furnished, (e.g., incision, exploration, etc.)

Faye Brown is a great resource if you're coding inpatient facility charts.
