Do you assign the IP hospital E/M codes 99221-99233 if NO psychotherapy was done? If psychotherapy WAS done, then do you assign the psychotherapy codes with medical E/M services ONLY?
When using just the IP hospital E/M codes, is there a Risk Assessment 'psychiatric' template for the medical decision making process? Do you use 1997 guidelines for just the 'Psychiatric' specialty?
