If a physician performs a Catheter Directed Thrombus Extraction with a lower extremity angiogram, I've been told to code only a 75898 however since I've been out of the field so long, I thought there was a procedure code to walk along with this, for some reason I remember a 36012 am I right?

75898 is a follow-up angiogram after an embolization or thrombolytic infusion - not what you want at all.

36012 is a venous catheterization. Were they in the venous or arterial system.

Look at codes 37184-37188, plus angiography and catheterization codes. With just what you've said, we can't get anymore specific than that.
