A few payers have recently been denying or IRF professional service admissions for CPT code 99223. We have been receiving all sorts of different denial reasons. My question to you all is if this patient was consulted prior to admission in the inpatient setting POS 21 then my provider admits them to IPR POS 61 1-3 days later what CPT code should i be submitting for the admission to inpatient rehab?
