Nasal endoscopes are brought into the field. Procedure commences on the left. Polyps are removed with microdebrider. Uncinate process is resected up to the nasofrontal recess. Dissection proceeds posteriorly to the rostrum of the sphenoid with skelotinization of the skull base and lamina papyrecea utilizing image guidance. Natural ostium of the maxillary sinus is identified and opened widely with through-cutting instruments and microdebrider. Maxillary sinus was filled with pus which is evacuated. Mucosa is polypoid. Further dissection is performed in the nasofrontal recess and curved suction is passed into the frontal sinus.
