Physician did an I&D on 11/24 in the office. On 11/27 patient was seen in the outpatient due the office being closed on the weekend. Dressings were removed demonstrating only a very minimal degree of purulence. The wound is irrigated with normal saline with no purulent return. Is this considered global and not a billable service. Please adavise.
Thanks.

It might depend on I&D of what body area (I did not look up everything); I know many(skin, nose, external ear) have a global period of 10 days. The physician's follow-up would be included in the original code, but the facility should be able to bill.
