What code does everyone use for Ischial tuberosity pain R side? Some have said R hip pain code M25.551 and some coders have said R10.2 Pelvic and perineal pain.

My opinion is that coding as hip pain would be incorrect - the M25.551 code for hip pain is classified under joint disorders, but pain from the ischial tuberosity would be pain at the upper thigh and/or buttocks which is anatomically close but does not necessarily involve that joint.

Since there is no specific code for pain at that particular site, I think that, depending on documentation, R10.2 or M79.65- (thigh pain) would be closer and more appropriate, or else R52 for pain NOS.
