Does anyone know if there are rules/regs on when a hospital can start charging IV hydration time when normal saline was running when patient arrived to the hospital?
Do we charge a start time as the time they arrived at the hospital?
Or can the hospital charge the administration at all?
If there is a document out there somewhere that addresses this, could you please
refer me to that document?
Any help on this is appreciated.
 
IV hydration charging

I don't start charging until I see an M.D.order for IV hydration to continue.
