If a pt comes in and has an IV for fluids because of pain from kidney stones. Then they give an IV push for pain medication and then later and IV push for nausea medicine would the correct coding be 96374 and then 96375. I was just reading thru this section and came across this. We have only been charging the 96374 one time even when they are using 2or 3 medications and 2 or 3 needles. Do you think we are allowed to charge the 96375 for each subsequent push and do we charge 96375 again for the 3rd push? Just saw this and was thinking we should.
