how do you know if IVC filter is endoscopic or open? guidance? not sure. thanks..
 
Endoscopic is usually done with a scope; you'll probably see mention of the scope and at times these are done percutaneously. Minimally invasive.

Open is just that, open. They are going to make an incision and go in like that.

In my experience the physician will usually indicate "endovasular" or "open"
