IVP monitor replacement charge?

Our neurosurgeon inserted an IVP monitor (61107). A couple days later, it was not functioning properly so he removed and replaced it. My question is, can we bill for the replacement? I don't know what the code would be because a twist drill was not done when it was replaced. I sure would appreciate some help on this.
