Wiki IVUS 92978 discontinued?

Hi, Looking for thoughts on how this is coded? IVUS catheter was placed in the proximal LAD and unable to be advanced due to calcium & angulation. No interpretation was made. Would the IVUS be coded with mod 74 or not coded? Coding for a facility. The cath lab coded the IVUS catheter C1753. Thank you

Was the primary procedure code completed and only the add-on code 92978 was discontinued?

Yes. Would the IVUS be considered discontinued and coded with modifier 74. Or not coded and only code the Left Heart Cath?
