I currently code for an insulin infusion clinic. We use an FDA cleared pump, and we use 50 units of insulin for most of our patients. J1817 has the correct amount of units, and pump is unspecified. They are using J1815 at this time, because it lists the type of insulin they are using, but we do not inject. Are there guidelines that I missing as far as the pump listed under J1817?
